Ben’s surgery, chemo and functional oncology treatments are a significant monthly expense.

Our expected costs in the next 2 years will be $55,000 – $64,000

Current Monthly Costs of Functional Oncology Treatments:
$2,665-$5000/mo.

These costs will continue each month for four months. Then we will drop IV Vitamin C, the largest cost, and continue the rest (~$1200/mo) for approximately 2 years, when Ben is at the highest risk of recurrence. After that, we will reduce the doses and frequencies and reduce the monthly expense while still keeping most of these supplements and therapies going.

Plus surgery & Chemo costs

We’re very grateful to have excellent health insurance through Ben’s work, so we will hit our out of pocket max for 2025 and 2026 with treatment straddling both years. This means surgery and chemo will cost a total of $5000.

Plus Prenuvo Scans every 6 months

Prenuvo full body MRI is how we first found Ben’s cancer. Early detection is everything in cancer. Ben’s cancer type has a 25-40% likelihood of recurrence even though it was resected at Stage 1.

We will do regular chest CTs through Ben’s oncology team to monitor for recurrence, but that only covers the chest and distant recurrence occurs in 35% of cases. When distant, the brain, liver, and bones are at highest risk. Insurance will not cover these regular MRIs.

These cost $2499 each (2x/year for a total of $5k/year). We are currently discussing with Prenuvo if sharing Ben’s story could give him a reduced cost.
